Rest in Peace Rene Murillo and Cesar Antonio Ramirez

Rene Murillo 18, died on March 12, 2010 after having been shot in the back of his neck by a Gangster Disciple and having been stuck in a coma for two weeks.
Rene Murillo was born on December 12, 1992 in Chicago, IL. He had lived in Addison, IL for most of his life and went to Addison Trail High School. He worked as a mechanic with his father and loved to play basketball. He was also very protective of his family.
He is survived by his mother and  step-father, Aracely and Rodrigo Murillo; his father Samuel Garay;his maternal grandmother, Maria Victoria Ramos;his paternal grandparents, Jose Antonio and Maria Del Carmen Garay; and his aunts, uncles and cousins. Other people who suffer his loss are his closest friends Alfredo Garcia and Rafael Hernandez along with his girlfriend and mother of his baby Justine Perez.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday March 16 and at the McCall Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery.
Friends may call the McCall Funeral Home from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday and the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Cesar Antonio Ramirez, 18, of  Maywood, IL died on March 1, 2010 as a result of a violent gang affilitiated attack. He was stabbed three times by a member of the Latin Kings because his brother was a former member of the Gang. He was born on November 5, 1991 in Sacramento, California. He is the son of Mario and Gabriela Ramirez. He attended elementary school in California and graduated from Proviso West High School in 2008, where he was member of the basketball and soccer teams. He was currently enrolled in Southern Illinois University majoring in landscape architecture.

Cesar was a member of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute and had been a member of Centro Romero, a volunteer organization  located in Chicago that provides many services for the Latino community. He had received a certificate of excellence for his commitment in helping minority students succeed in school. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church with his family.

Cesar is survived by his parents Mario and Gabriela, his brother Hector and his sister Liliana, both at home. He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Ignacio and Maria Ramirez, and his paternal grandparents Natalia and Juan Velasquez. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Stephanie Cabral of Maywood and his close friends Emmanuel Torres of Glendale Heights and Victor Granados of Maywood and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral arrangements are being held by the Dimbleby Funeral Home in Maywood. Calling hours will be wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home and at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maywood.
